Dat Bike is always committed to providing the best service to customers. To ensure the best experience when buying a bike, please read through Dat Bike's warranty, maintenance and return policy.

I. Warranty policy

Dat Bike warrants against defects in materials and/or workmanship under normal use and maintenance.

1. Applicable objects

Customers (consumers) buy vehicles at the website www.dat.bike, Facebook Dat Bike, online channels and Dat Bike stores according to the list published by Dat Bike on the website at This

2. Warranty content

  • Dat Bike commits to repair or replace spare parts/materials due to manufacturing defects or update the control software if it is a software error.
  • Dat Bike will collect old spare parts after the old parts have been replaced with new parts according to the warranty policy.
  • Spare parts used during the warranty period are genuine parts and components provided by Dat Bike.

3. Battery warranty

  • For damages or problems related to the battery and related parts, the warranty policy will be applied similarly to that for other parts of the vehicle.
  • In case of battery failure, Dat Bike will only repair or replace if the battery failure level of the Customer's vehicle exceeds the natural failure level of the battery over time under normal usage conditions of the Customer. The final decision is Dat Bike's decision (repair or replacement is Dat Bike's decision)

Note:

  • If the vehicle meets the warranty conditions (still within the warranty period and not falling under the cases in section 6) and the battery capacity is below 70%, the Customer has the right to request a new battery replacement.
  • Battery warranty includes: Battery cell, BMS circuit, battery cables and battery sensors

    4. Warranty of spare parts and accessories

    • Dat Bike only supports repairing and replacing original components of each vehicle model. Dat Bike does not support changing components from one vehicle model to another or using components outside the Dat Bike product system.
    • The warranty period for spare parts and accessories is determined to be 90 (ninety) days from the date the Customer receives the goods. For batteries (purchased as spare parts), the warranty period is 01 (one) year from the date the Customer receives the goods.
    • Spare parts or accessories replaced during the warranty period (according to the replacement warranty policy) will not incur any costs to the Customer. The warranty period of these spare parts and accessories will be subject to the remaining warranty period of the vehicle.
    • Parts and accessories that the Customer pays for and installs himself (related to natural wear and tear) will not be covered by the warranty if the vehicle is still under warranty.
    • The warranty for spare parts and accessories purchased by the Customer only applies to technical errors caused by the manufacturer. Damages not caused by technical errors or due to improper use by the Customer are not covered by the warranty.
    • All other terms and conditions relating to warranty will apply according to Dat Bike's Vehicle Warranty Policy.

    5. Vehicle warranty period

    • The warranty period is 03 (three) years (or 30,000km (thirty thousand kilometers) - whichever comes first).
    • The warranty period is calculated from the date stated on the invoice that Dat Bike issues to the Customer.
    • Vehicle warranty information and history are stored by Dat Bike on the system and provided to Customers upon request. Dat Bike does not provide paper Warranty Books.

    6. Vehicle warranty coverage

    • The warranty is valid throughout Vietnam, and is only applied and performed at Dat Bike's authorized stores.
    • In provinces and cities without an official store, Dat Bke will support the transportation cost to bring the Customer's vehicle to the nearest warranty station and return the vehicle to the address provided by the Customer.
    • Warranty work is performed free of charge under the terms and conditions of the warranty.

    7. Vehicle warranty inheritance

    During the warranty period, if there is a change in vehicle ownership, the new owner will inherit all remaining warranty conditions of the vehicle. Customers need to notify Dat Bike via one of the Official customer service channels to confirm the transfer of warranty registration information. The remaining warranty period will be transferred to the new owner.

    8. Cases not covered by warranty

    • Details that are subject to natural wear and tear or wear over time (including, but not limited to, paint, brakes, tires, transmission, brake fluid, brake pads, bearings, rubber seals of all kinds, etc.).
    • Parts replaced or modified at stores that are not genuine Dat Bike stores.
    • Damage or loss occurs due to the vehicle not being used, stored, or regularly maintained as per the Vehicle Owner's Manual, and/or maintenance not being performed by an authorized Dat Bike store.
    • Damage is the result of repairs, adjustments, changes, or modifications from the original design (including but not limited to changes in power, engine or battery structure, changes in saddle height, welding of additional details, etc.) or not performed by technicians at Dat Bike's authorized stores.
    • Damage caused by using the vehicle for purposes other than those intended for normal consumption such as: using the vehicle as a racing bike, extreme sports (acrobatics, mountain climbing), or using the vehicle for business purposes such as public transport.
    • Damage related to the use of spare parts, or oils, solutions, additives other than those recommended by Dat Bike.
    • Rust, paint fading, rubber aging, grease deterioration, natural wear of batteries over time, and parts that are on the list of regular replacement parts due to natural wear and tear such as oil, brake pads, tires, fluids, additives.
    • The phenomena of swelling, cracking, breaking, burning, exploding, and smoking of the battery are caused by reasons including but not limited to: parking in high temperature environments (greater than 60 degrees Celsius), using non-genuine chargers, charging with other power consuming devices, arbitrarily changing the structure of the charger compared to the original design of the manufacturer, or using a power source not according to the User Manual.
    • Damage caused by earthquakes, storms, floods, water immersion, accidents, fires, other natural disasters, or damage caused by external factors such as soil, sand, gravel, rocks, sharp hard objects thrown at the vehicle during operation.
    • Surface damage caused by factors such as cigarette butts, chemicals, animal droppings, salt, acid rain, animal bites, or other similar factors.
    • Damage caused by failure to comply with recall programs announced by Dat Bike.
    • Battery damage due to failure to follow instructions for use, storage of batteries during use and non-use. Refer to User Manual here.
    • Damage occurs during the warranty period but the Customer notifies Dat Bike after the warranty period has expired.


    Note: Damage caused by driving in rain or flooding is still covered by warranty if all of the following conditions are met:

    • Vehicle operates in water no deeper than 60cm.
    • The vehicle can operate continuously underwater for no more than 30 minutes.

    To the extent permitted by law, Dat Bike shall disclaim liability for loss of time or expenses including but not limited to:

    • Costs to remedy consequences caused by improper repairs and maintenance not performed at an authorized Dat Bike store.
    • Cost of replacing parts subject to natural wear and tear, degraded grease.
    • Compensation for loss of time, loss of business, communication costs, accommodation, travel, direct/indirect damages and other expenses arising from damage to the vehicle for any reason.

    In addition to the contents herein, Dat Bike will perform other warranty responsibilities as prescribed by law (if any).

    9. Notes during use

    Perform complete routine maintenance

    Customers need to perform periodic inspection and maintenance according to the cycle recommended by Dat Bike to ensure warranty benefits, user safety, economy and peace of mind when driving.

    Use genuine spare parts and components

    To ensure maximum safety when using the vehicle, Customers should only use genuine spare parts provided by Dat Bike through genuine stores. Dat Bike provides replacement parts throughout the mass production period. Dat Bike will continue to produce and supply replacement parts for a certain period of time even after mass production has stopped.

    10. Customer's Responsibilities and Obligations

    • Customers need to carefully read and comply with the vehicle user manual here to ensure warranty rights. In case the Customer fails to fulfill these responsibilities and obligations, Dat Bike has the right to refuse to implement the Warranty Policy.
    • Regular vehicle maintenance according to Dat Bike's recommendations ensures that worn parts or components are always replaced as soon as possible.

    II. Periodic maintenance policy

    1. Why should we do regular maintenance?

    • Prevent unnecessary damage early during operation and prolong vehicle life.
    • Helps the vehicle maintain its performance after a long period of use and is not affected by worn parts.
    • Helps users feel safe and comfortable when driving.
    • Save money on unexpected major damage.
    • Ensure the validity of the vehicle's warranty and also serve as a basis for determining quality if the Customer wishes to buy/sell the vehicle to someone else.

    2. Costs and periodic maintenance items

    The cost and items of periodic maintenance will depend on the wear and tear of the vehicle parts and the time of maintenance request from the Customer.

    3. Receive periodic maintenance

    • Customers can contact hotline to make an appointment for best support.
    • In case there is no store in the area where the Customer uses the vehicle, the Customer should contact the Customer Service department for support.
    • In addition to the regular km milestones as prescribed, Dat Bike encourages Customers to proactively arrange the schedule for the next maintenance milestones to be flexible in time and to keep the vehicle in good condition.

     

    5. Price list of periodic maintenance packages

    Note:

    • The price list below is the basic maintenance service package price, not including spare parts replacement costs and shipping fees (if any).
    • All maintenance requests made after the vehicle warranty period has expired will be charged under the Annual Check-up package.

    6. Disclaimer of liability when Customer does not perform regular maintenance

    Dat Bike always recommends that Customers perform periodic maintenance and replace spare parts and components according to the instructions of the technical team to ensure the vehicle operates safely and durably. In case the Customer does not perform periodic maintenance or refuses to replace spare parts and components recommended by the technical staff, leading to damage to other parts or affecting the performance of the vehicle, Dat Bike will be exempted from liability for any damage or damage arising therefrom.

    This regulation helps protect the rights and ensure transparency in the process of using the Customer's vehicle.

    This policy is effective and applicable from October 26, 2024 until further notice from Dat Bike.
